I take a lot of pictures of coffee - many of them really beautiful… and yet, I always comes back to this one. It captures something different. Even though I love the beauty of coffee art, I grew up with coffee being gritty… held in a steel thermos by working class men like my father. Dont get me wrong, coffee can be pretty and all but it will always be about real people - who don’t care much about coffee art.
